Product Overview

The screed plate of a paver is the core component determining pavement paving flatness. Installed at the rear of the equipment, it directly contacts the asphalt mixture. It integrates heating, vibrating and compacting functions. During operation, the heating system keeps the mixture in the best plastic state; the vibrating device compacts the material with high-frequency vibration, and then the compacting mechanism further levels it, ensuring the flatness and density of the formed pavement. Adopting a rigid frame structure, the screed has high strength and low deformation. It can flexibly adjust the paving width according to construction needs, adapting to different pavement projects. Its shell has wear and high-temperature resistance, able to withstand continuous friction and high-temperature baking of the mixture. Routine maintenance only requires regular cleaning of residual slag and inspection of heating elements, making it a key device for high-quality paving operations.

Common Faults and Solutions

• Uneven heating/partial no heating

• Fault signs: Large temperature differences on the screed plate surface, mixture sticking to local areas, and scratches on the paving layer

• Solutions: Check if heating elements are damaged or wiring is loose, replace failed heating rods and tighten circuits; clean mixture residue on the surface to avoid heat insulation; calibrate the temperature control system to ensure accurate temperature signal transmission.

• Poor paving flatness

• Fault signs: Wavy undulations on the road palte surface, uneven joints, and excessive transverse slope deviation

• Solutions: Check if the screed frame is deformed and correct it if necessary; verify if the vibrator amplitude is uniform, adjust vibration frequency to match paving speed palte; clean debris on the guide shoes to ensure smooth sliding of the screed palte.

• Vibration/compaction failure

• Fault signs: Insufficient mixture density, easy sanding of the road surface, no or weak vibration of the vibrator

• Solutions: Check if the vibrator motor power supply is normal, repair open circuits or poor contact; disassemble the vibration mechanism and clean internal stuck debris; replace worn vibration eccentric blocks to restore vibration force.

• Surface wear/deformation

• Fault signs: Severe wear on the screed palte edge, surface depression, and unstable paving thickness

• Solutions: Repair slight wear by welding and grinding, replace wear-resistant liners for severe deformation; avoid collision between the screed palte and hard objects during operation, regularly check and tighten fixing bolts to prevent frame loosening and deformation.
