The control handle of the paver is a core operating component that integrates multiple operation control functions, allowing operators to real-time adjust key parameters. It is mainly used to control core actions such as paving speed, screed plate lifting and vibration, hopper opening and closing, and the operation of the feeding device. During operation, it is closely connected with multiple systems: it links with the traveling system to accurately adjust the equipment's moving speed and match the paving rhythm; it cooperates with the screed plate system to set vibration frequency and height, ensuring uniform thickness of the paved layer; it coordinates with the feeding system to control hopper unloading and feeding speed, avoiding excessive or insufficient feeding; at the same time, it responds to the automatic leveling system, enabling manual correction of slope deviations. It is a key control component for efficient and precise paving operations. 


What are some common malfunctions of paver control handles?

Common faults of the paver's control handle include four types: First, no response during operation. When adjusting paving speed, screed height, etc., the equipment does not act, mostly due to poor wire contact, sensor failure or control module malfunction. Second, reduced control accuracy, such as stuck speed adjustment or larger height control deviation, usually caused by internal mechanical wear of the handle, calibration deviation or potentiometer aging. Third, abnormal noise during operation with a stuck feeling, mostly due to loose internal parts, insufficient lubrication or foreign object jamming. Fourth, abnormal indicator lights, such as a constantly on fault light without clear faults, possibly caused by circuit short circuit, signal interference or communication interruption between the handle and the system. These faults directly affect operational fluency, reduce paving accuracy and require timely inspection and repair.


How to solve the problem of the paver control handle not responding?

To solve the problem of no response when operating the paver's control handle, you can troubleshoot and handle it in the order of "from simple to complex". The specific steps are as follows:
  1. Check power supply and wires: Confirm the equipment is powered on, inspect if the connecting wires between the handle and control module are loose, damaged or flooded. Reconnect the terminals, clean dust on contacts, and repair damaged wires.

  2. Troubleshoot sensor status: Check if the speed, height and other sensors associated with the handle work normally. Clean the sensor probes and replace the sensor if it is damaged.

  3. Restart the control module: Turn off the paver's power, let it stand for 5-10 minutes and then restart. Clear temporary faults of the module and check if the fault light goes out and the handle regains response.

  4. Professional inspection and repair: If the above operations are ineffective, the control module may be malfunctioning or internal components of the handle may be damaged. Contact professional personnel for inspection and repair to avoid secondary damage caused by self-disassembly.
